Location: Fashoda
Campground is located 41 miles from Placerville, CA.
Directions: To
get to Fashoda Campground take Hwy 50 east from Placerville for 23
miles. Then turn north on Forest Road 3 (Ice House Road) for 15 miles.
The roadside signs denote campground.
Description:
Fashoda Campground sites are all walk-in tent sites. Vehicles
must park in the parking lot. There are loading zones near the
campsites which permit loading/unloading for up to 15 minutes. The
elevation is 4,900 ft. Available nearby are a swim beach, boat launch,
fishing, picnic areas, convenience store, and restaurant. There is a hot
shower (coin operated) on site.
Opening/Closing Dates:
Open May 19th to September 24th (approximately).
Reservation Policies:
Reservations are strongly recommended.
NOTE(S): Not
suitable for RV's, trailers, pop-ups, etc. Tent camping only.
There is an extra vehicle fee beginning with the 3rd vehicle
collected on site. The number of people at each site will be strictly
enforced at 6.
