Location:
Basin Campground is located 7 miles west of Red Lodge, Montana, close to
Basin Lakes and Wild Bill National Recreation Trails.
Directions: From
highway 212 go to south end of Red Lodge, turn west on Westfork of Rock
Creek Rd #2071 (locally known as Ski Run Road). Then go up the road 7
miles (stay to the left fork), the campground will be on the right-hand
side.
Facilities: All
sites have fire grates and tables. Facilities include two hand pumps for
water and five accessible restrooms.
Activities:
Popular activities include fishing, mountain biking, camping, bird
watching, wildlife viewing, and horseback riding.
Opening/Closing Dates:
May 16th to September 21st approximately.
Reservation Policies:
Reservations must be made at least seven days
in advance. This campground requires a two-night minimum stay on
weekends and a three-night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
Important Information:
Sites 2, 16, & 28 are accessible for people with disabilities. The
administering organization reserves the right to substitute sites
without prior notice. Two non-towed vehicles may be parked per site.
The first vehicle is included in the basic fee, the second is charged an
extra $7.00 collected at the campground.
CAUTION:
Bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers.
